Texas Consulting recruits analysts each semester through a written application and interview. The written application is a resume, qualitative questions, and a quantitative case, and is evaluated blindly. Applications are open to all majors, but only current freshmen and sophomores may apply. No prior experience is required. Confirm the live semester window on texas-consulting.org and the club's Instagram.

Texas Undergraduate Consulting Group (TUCG) is a registered UT Austin student organization that works with peers, the Austin community, and small businesses across Texas. Its filed constitution says students become members by applying for a Project Analyst role in the beginning weeks of both fall and spring. Applications are released on texasucg.com shortly before recruitment. After application and resume review, candidates may advance to an interview. Those who pass become Project Analysts. The group emphasizes students of all majors, with an emphasis on STEM and business.

McCombs Consulting Association (MCA) runs a selective Associate Program (formerly the MCA Mentee program): a 10-week, small-cohort track with weekly mentor and peer casing. Applicants must attend an info session. The written application uses anonymized resumes (name removed). After submission, candidates may advance to an interview. The program is open to all majors who meet internship-eligibility rules (generally sophomores recruiting for consulting internships the next calendar year. Limited freshman paths are tied to MBB sophomore diversity programs). MCA states it plans Fall-only recruitment (no Spring cycle) unless policy changes. Confirm the live cycle on texasmca.org.

General guidance
The guidance below holds for competitive consulting and finance clubs as a category. Confirm dates and steps on the club's own page or with its officers before you rely on them.
- Competitive clubs at most schools recruit once or twice a year, usually early in the fall and sometimes again in the spring. The window is short and often announced only on club channels, so join the mailing lists in your first weeks on campus.
- Club applications usually ask for a resume and short written answers, and interviews usually pair a behavioral conversation with a short case or a market sizing question. Treat it as a first recruiting cycle, because it is one.
- If your school has no consulting or finance club with a real application process, project based experience carries the same weight: student consulting groups, investment funds, case competitions, and research roles.
- Confirm every date and step on the club's own page or with its officers. This dossier adds school specific facts only when an official source supports them.
